About this Camellia cultivar
Camellia japonica 'Tomorrow Park Hill' is a vigorous 1964 American cultivar originated by Mrs. R. Peer of Hollywood, California, first blooming in 1960 and registered as ACS #779. It is a sport of 'Tomorrow Variegated' and produces large to very large flowers in a semi-double to occasionally fuller peony-like form, with irregular petals and prominent large petaloids. The blooms are light soft pink, generally deepening toward the petal edges, and often show white variegation. The plant has an open, slightly pendulous habit and dark green foliage, making it a distinctive garden camellia for the early to mid-season bloom period.
