About this Camellia cultivar

Paul Haskee is a Camellia japonica cultivar originated by Jack Mandarich in Grants Pass, Oregon, and registered in 1955 (ACS Registration #2337), with first bloom recorded in 1982. It is a vigorous, dense, upright-growing plant with dark green foliage. The flowers are very large, red, and described as anemone to peony form with more than 95 petals, accented by golden anthers. Parentage is Camellia japonica 'Elsie Ruth Marshall' x Camellia japonica 'R.L. Wheeler'. Bloom season is extended from early to late, making it a long-flowering ornamental cultivar.
