About this Camellia cultivar
Lasca Beauty is a 1973 camellia cultivar hybridized by Clifford R. Parks at the Los Angeles State and County Arboretum, Arcadia, California. It is a reticulata hybrid from Reticulata 'Cornelian' crossed with Japonica 'Mrs. D. W. Davis'. The cultivar bears very large, soft pink semi-double blooms with heavy-textured, thick petals, accented by yellow anthers and cream filaments. It is known for vigorous, open, upright growth and dark green foliage, making it a strong landscape and specimen camellia.
