About this Camellia cultivar
A compact-growing camellia cultivar introduced by Kramer Brothers Nursery in Upland, California and registered in 1979. 'Angel Wings' is a non-reticulata hybrid in the C. x williamsii group, derived from Japonica 'Dr. Tinsley' x C. saluenensis. It bears medium-sized semi-double blooms with narrow, upright petals. The flowers are predominantly white, washed and shaded with orchid pink, and accented by prominent yellow anthers and yellow filaments. Its compact growth and refined flower form make it a distinctive garden and landscape camellia.
